Ah, who doesn’t love fall? I will never understand those who only appreciate summer and get super sad when it’s on its last days. EVERY single season of the year is beautiful and is absolutely worth celebration. Don’t you think so?
Yes, cooling off in a lake on a hot summer day is awesome but so is strolling through the park alley covered by fallen bright yellow leaves. Or sitting cozily on a couch with a mug of hot chocolate on a chilly winter evening. There is always something awesome to do, you just have to open your eyes.
Plus, not every summer activity has to be put on the shelf when fall knocks on the door. You just have to modify some things to match the season.
For example, I can’t imagine my summer mornings without a jar of overnight oats. Usually I pack it with whatever is in the season at the moment: strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apricots, you name it. A perfect breakfast to get you going.
When days get chillier, some friends of my switch to porridge or anything that’s warm. NOT ME, though. I still love my mason jar oatmeal with a cup of hot tea or coffee. How can I miss out on an opportunity to add fall veggies and fruit to my oats? Apples, pears, pumpkin, and the list goes on and on!
Sometimes I also remember summer by using frozen berries. I am kind of a freezing junkie so I have lots of them.
So, without a further ado, I want to share my three go to mason jar oatmeal recipes at the moment with you, guys. Two of them celebrate fall and one uses frozen berries. I prefer my oatmeal with almond milk but you can easily use plain milk instead. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!

My favorite overnight oats recipes at the moment. Pumpkin pie, apple-cinnamon, and triple berry with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries!
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or 1/2 tsp cinnamon + 1/2 tsp nutmeg)
- 1/2 cup diced apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- crushed graham crackers , for topping
- 2 tablespoons blueberries
- 2 tablespoons raspberries
- 2 tablespoons chopped strawberries
Place the ingredients in a pint-sized jar in the same order as they are written. First, the base: oats, milk, yogurt. Then, the fruits, berries, or spices, finished with a topping if there is one.
Refrigerate overnight and enjoy!
