This easy Air Fryer Granola recipe uses simple ingredients to make a crunchy, delicious snack or breakfast in just 20 minutes. The quick prep, easy cooking, and great flavor will make this a go-to all year long.

I am very excited to present this simple and delicious recipe as my first air fryer recipe on the blog. After recently purchasing one, I fell in love with how quickly I can make good food with it. There will be more recipes to come, but this air fryer granola is a great place to start.
By combining easy-to-find, year round ingredients like oats, coconut oil, maple syrup, and almonds into my air fryer, I get crunchy, perfectly cooked granola in only 8 minutes. It makes it possible to have a fresh, healthy batch for breakfast anytime, even on busier mornings.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- From start to finish, this recipe only takes 23 minutes, prep time included.
- Uses healthy ingredients like coconut oil, rolled oats, almonds, and ground flax seed.
- Great for a snack, topping yogurt, garnishing smoothie bowls, or as a cereal substitute.

Ingredients
It’s just eight easy ingredients to make yourself a batch of homemade granola in the air fryer. They’re natural, healthy, and available all year at any grocery store.
- Maple syrup – Any natural sweetener like honey or brown rice syrup can be used instead.
- Coconut Oil – Melt this before using, or swap in grapeseed, olive, or canola oil if needed.
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla Extract
- Salt
- Old-fashioned oats – You may find these labeled as rolled oats depending on your location.
- Ground flaxseed – You can buy it pre-ground or use a spice grinder to blend whole flaxseed into powder. I recommend storing the extra in the freezer to extend the shelf life.
- Almonds – Chopped almonds, or any nut you prefer, add nutrition, crunch, and flavor.
Instructions
The first step is to prepare your air fryer. Some, like my Cosori 5.8 quart model, fit a standard, round 8 inch baking pan perfectly. Many models offer ‘add on’ accessories during purchase, but I actually recommend doing a little research first. The ones made for air fryers are often small and low quality, when better, regular sized pans will fit instead.
If you don’t have a baking pan that fits, simply line your air fryer basket with parchment paper and load the granola mix into that for cooking.

Start by mixing the coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt together. Then mix in the oats, flaxseed, and almonds. Pour that into your lightly greased baking pan, or parchment lined basket. Press down gently to create a flat layer.

Air-fry for 8 minutes at 325°F, pausing to stir at the 4 minute mark. When the time is up, let it sit inside the air fryer for an additional 5 minutes, then pull it out and let it cool. As it does, the granola will get that perfect crunch.

Serving and Storage
My favorite way to serve this is over a refreshing, smoothie or yogurt bowl like my kale and kiwi green smoothie bowl or my strawberry banana smoothie bowl. But my current choice is a freshly blended blueberry yogurt.
To make a single serving blend ⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt, ⅔ cups of frozen blueberries, 1 sliced banana, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup in a high powered blender until smooth.
Top it with a healthy scoop of granola and any other toppings you like. Fresh berries, coconut flakes, hemp seeds, and nuts are a few of my favorites.

Store any leftover air-fryer granola in a sealed container at room temperature and enjoy it for up to 10 days.
This recipe is a great way to use a time-saving kitchen appliance like an air fryer to make a healthy breakfast. I have lots of other great ways to use oats in recipes on the blog, so be sure to check them out, and stay tuned for more air fryer recipes in the future!
