I LOVE seasonal fruits and veggies! They are FRESH and full of natural goodness. And they taste better.
Strawberries are one of my favorite berries. I could eat them every single day. Yesterday I bought 4 lbs of freshly-picked strawberries at the local fruit market. They are gorgeous!! So red and large! And soooo delicious!! Yum!
Today I took some and made it into a super simple, tasty smoothie for breakfast. This smoothie is high in fiber, potassium, Vitamin C, calcium and antioxidants. In other words, full of good stuff.
I used plain yogurt and added vanilla extract, but you can use plain vanilla yogurt instead. Also you can add some chia seeds, if you have them on hand. You can’t go wrong with the classic combo of strawberries and banana. Plus the taste is hard to beat!
Summer is a perfect time to enjoy delicious smoothies. So guys, are you with me on craving fresh fruit? 😉
And of course, don’t forget to check out some of my other delicious breakfast recipes while you’re here.
