Ingredients

  • 1 unit pizza dough
  • 4 tbsp muhammara
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes quartered
  • 5 oz bocconini or mozzarella
  • 4 tbsp black olives pitted
  • 4 anchovies
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 sprig basil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250°C/ 475°F or as hot as it goes. place a baking sheet or pizza stone in the oven while it is heating.
  • Roll or stretch out the pizza dough to a round of about 12 inches diameter.
  • Spread the muhammara all over, leaving a 1 inch perimeter around the edge.
  • Dot over the cherry tomatoes, olives, mozzarella and anchovies.
  • Slide the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for about 5 minutes, until puffed and with golden crusts.
  • Drizzle over the olive oil, scatter with the basil, slice, and serve hot.
