Rice Flour Recipes

These days, finding gluten-free recipes is a lot easier than it used to be. But there’s still a need for substitute gluten-free flours, to make it a quick job to adapt recipes. I’ve been experimenting with rice flour recently and have found some superb gluten-free Rice Flour Recipes to add to your repertoire. Here are 16 of my favorites.

Types of Rice Flour

Rice flour can be white or brown, depending on whether the bran and germ is removed before milling. White or brown, you will usually want to get finely milled rice flour to avoid baked products being gritty in texture. Finely ground rice flour will often have soaked the grains of rice in water first, in order to get a finer texture.

Additionally, glutinous rice can also be ground, and is especially good in some recipes. It’s also knon as sweet rice flour or Mochiko rice flour. Different rice flours are better for different recipes, depending on what you want to achieve. Let’s find out more.
