Muhammara
A classic Middle-Eastern dip with red peppers and walnuts

- 1 cup walnuts
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 8 oz roasted red peppers
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 cloves garlic peeled
- 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper
Preheat the oven 300°F.
Toast the walnuts in the hot oven for about 10 minutes, until lightly colored and fragrant.
Blend the walnuts with all the other ingredients, adding enough oil to make a smooth paste.
Serve with crudites or bread sticks as a dip, or as part of a mezze.
