Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz. (425g) can chickpeas , rinsed and drained
  • 8 Medjool dates , pitted
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) tahini
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2.5 oz. (70 g) dark chocolate , melted
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into the blender or high speed food processor.
  • Puree until it is smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides every few minutes so everything gets thoroughly mixed. Taste and add more dates for sweetness and more water (a tablespoon at a time) for the desired consistency and smoothness, if needed.
