Ingredients

  • 1 large chicken breast cut into chunks
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled and crushed
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 lemon juice only
  • 1/2 red onion peeled, cut into chunks
  • salt and pepper

To serve

  • 4 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • tomatoes sliced
  • cucumbers sliced
  • pita bread or Greek fries

Instructions

  • Mix the chicken chunks with the oil, garlic, herbs, spices, and lemon juice.
  • Leave to marinate in the freeze for at least 2 hours.
  • Thread onto skewers, alternating with pieces of onion.
  • Grill on a hot barbecue or griddle pan until blackened and charred, but still tender and juicy inside.
  • Serve with yogurt and salad, with fries on the side or stuffed into flat breads.
